Chokher Bali is a 2003 Bengali film directed by Rituparno Ghosh, about an old woman who tells stories of her memories. Suraj, a young man from Calcutta, comes to meet her on the request of his girlfriend who is seeking some help with his mental health. The two talk late into the night as he listens to her life story. It is not clear what exactly it is that she's talking about nor does she seem to care- all that matters are the details of her past and how they tie into Suraj's present day adventures.
